Crazy Daisy

Sunday, May 20th, 2007

Along with starting my new job this week, I also took on a bit of a new role. My sister and her husband went away for 4 days and asked me to stay at their apartment and take care of their new puppy Daisy and their cat Chloee. Because I have a weakness for fuzzy animals, especially puppies, I said yes. Late-night potty breaks, early morning whining, and excitement- induced accidents have persuaded me that I don’t want a puppy. Now don’t get me wrong, I love Daisy and I would watch her anytime- but as far as having a little Daisy of my own one day- it ain’t happening! A little Chloee I could do, but she didn’t require near as much attention and care as Daisy did. Enjoy the pictures of some very sweet moments with Daisy. (Notice the PJ’s on Daisy) Every night she would cuddle on my lap and we would watch TV together. (Those were the moments that made me want a puppy.)

One week finished

Saturday, May 19th, 2007

My first week at the OB/GYN office is over…
I really like the job. I have been learning a lot. The first week went well- except for Tuesday. Our office has a sister office down by the shore. It is exactly one hour from my house. On Tuesday’s and Thursday’s the doctor sees patients down in that office. Well it just so happened that a HUGE wild fire started in the pine barrens right near our office. So when it came time to go home at the end of the day, our route was blocked off by fire trucks. To make a long story short… I didn’t have any clue how to get home so my dad had to talk me through each turn. (praise God for cell phones!) Two and a half hours later I safely made it home!
Thankfully the fire was greatly decreased in size by Thursday morning… just in time to make it to work.

A good start

Monday, May 14th, 2007

Our first week of wedding planning was quite profitable. We selected and purchased our rings, picked out the tuxedoes, booked a photographer, got the invitations, and Jessica even bought her dress! With several of the big things done, we have 14 months to focus more on the details.

The Wedding Plans Begin

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

This week, Jessica and I have officially started planing our wedding. We have selected rings and tuxedoes, and even more importantly, we’ve reserved August 16th 2008 with the church! We are meeting with photographers and comparing reception halls vs. catering. So we have accomplished quite a bit so far, but there is still (obviously) much to be done.

Home Sweet Home
